A South Jersey native, Laura Kincaid earned her MA & BA in writing arts from Rowan University and graduated from the Columbia Publishing Course. Currently, she is an editorial assistant at Holiday House and reads manuscripts for Lanternfish Press.
She has been a contributing writer at SNJ Today, Healio.com, the New Pages Blog, and the Multicultural Arts Exchange Blog. Her creative work has been featured in Rlly Bad Poetry Zine, Twist in Time Magazine, New Jersey’s Best Emerging Poets 2019: An Anthology (Z Publishing, 2019), and others. In the 2018 Denise Gess Awards, she received an honorable mention for poetry.
When she is not writing or reading, Laura enjoys playing her ukulele, cross-stitching while listening to podcasts, and moonlighting as an halfling barbarian in an ongoing Dungeon & Dragons game with her friends.
